The Long Island Flying Eagles original location was on the outskirts of Riverhead. The field contained one grass runway surrounded by trees. The field was later sold to a company that wanted to build a whole road of Modular houses. This took time. During the middle of it the members of our club were flying over tractors and bulldozers. Soon we lost the field and we were a club searching for a field. This went on for at least 2 years the most. Then we found the Doziak field. They let us use the field. Thanks to them we have a beautiful flying site. To this day this is still where we are located.
