OK spill it.  What did santa get you or did you get yourself this year.  (Lets keep it aircraft related.  No socks or underwear.)

Mine will be a couple of weeks and then I will show my new box of balsa.

I am glad to say I didn't get any aircraft related items...I like to buy em myself, so I got a lot of gift cards and gift Certificates Grin
I'll post some news of what I am buying , when I buy em.

Since my wife told me I DID NOT WANT any more model airplane stuff, I got exactly "what I wanted" so I won't respond to this post. Now if I'm home when UPS arrives, well what she doesn't know ... scares the 7734 out of me ... and before you make any snide comments, wait until YOU have been married 50 years.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Received my first box of stuff yesterday.  These things are huge.  60 sized tuned pipe is in the foreground for comparison.

Found 2 large and 1 medium box on the steps today.
Contents of medium box shown.  Still have to open the other 2.  Guess this means I have to clean up the workshop sooner than planned.

Wow, Big pipes, big boxes...is it a kit? or an ARF?
That would be a lot of balsa, one box just might be the glue Wink

  Come on..show us more!

Motor box, front of fuse just fit together not glued.

Hehe, My 2 boxes came today! Weeeeee

It'a An ARF, but what the heck, it got good reviews. It is a CMP (China Model Products )BF 109 73" WS. I didn't like the retracts they offered so I went with TroyBuilt Models retracts for their 109 model.

I couldn't help but get started on the gear modification, I had to cut a bigger opening all around, but the rails are intact. I will beef up certian areas inside.
The wing on the right is the modified one.
I might even repaint this bird, I'm not fond of the "Gray" scheme.

A spinner and propeller will be on the front. Wink

Hehe...couldn't resist. The only negative I've read about this ARF is the provided spinner is to brittle and explodes! I've seen youtube videos of it. So I will look for a replacement.
As far as an engine goes, I haven't decided yet. I have a Zenoah 20cc that might work. I would like Tony to bring his new engine to the next meeting, maybe it would fit nice up front.
