Spring is sprung ... and the grass soon will be ... and somebody has to keep the grass under control. So we are taking names and keeping list (kicking butt just doesn't make sense here). From a safety standpoint, it makes sense to have at least two people on each shift (and we DO HAVE two mowers ... most of the time) so we need at least a dozen volunteers to keep the chore to a reasonable level. With two men at the wheel, the whole job should take a little over an hour. Cutting needs to get done on Thursday or Friday so the field is in the best possible shape for weekend flying. So far we have Andre Perez, Bob Hicks, Rich Cooke, Bruno Sidor, Chris Gehrig, Dave Williams, and Bill Brandt who have stepped forward. That means we
at least four more able-bodied members to man up. I'll take names via phone, e-mail or at the April meeting before I set up a schedule.
